16th Annual Jim Herrin Memorial Stampede AUG 13, 2011 5K & 10K - 7:30 AM 1 Mile Fun Run -- 8:15 Sponsored by the Robins Pacers In Memory of Jim Herrin

Each year, the Robins Pacers Running Club sponsors a 5K/10K Road Race as a memorial to the late Jim Herrin, past president of the Robins Pacers. The proceeds of this race will be split evenly to fund two annual one-time scholarships for a senior boy and a girl graduating from a high school in Houston County who have significant track and field and/or cross-country participation and college ambitions. This year's winners are Jabari Stegall and Caroline Mauldin, both from Warner Robins HS.

• Jabari plans to pursue a degree in computer engineering and math at Georgia Tech and Fort Valley State. He ran cross country and track his sophomore, junior and senior years at WRHS.
• Caroline plans to run for the University of West Georgia track team, as well as pursuing a psychology degree. She ran cross country and track all four years at WRHS. Caroline was captain of the girl's cross country team her junior and senior year.
