The Robins Pacers Running Club was formed in the spring of 1987 and consists primarily of runners in Warner Robins, Georgia (USA) and the surrounding area. Our goal is to promote health and fitness in the local community through events such as group runs and races.
Membership is free and open to walkers, joggers, runners, and others at all levels of physical fitness. We no longer have monthly meetings, but conduct most business by email. We currently have over 200 members on our email list.
We sponsor several racing events annually, and will usually ask for volunteers by email prior to a race to help fold shirts, stuff race packets, monitor the course, man water tables, etc. Our largest event is held in January of each year in coordination with the Museum of Aviation Foundation. The event includes a marathon, half marathon, and 5K race, all starting and finishing on the Museum of Aviation grounds. Another key event is the Jim Herrin Memorial Stampede 5K and 10K race held every August in memory of a former president of the Pacers.
We also get together for group runs on a frequent basis, and assist the Keep Warner Robins Beautiful commission by cleaning up a one-mile stretch of highway three or four times per year.
