| August 28, 2010 Waycross, GA | Megan's House Heels & Wheels Duathlon Challenge The race consists of a 2 mile run, a 13 mile bike ride, and another 2 mile run. You can participate as individuals or in 2 or 3 man teams. Megan’s House, a service of Easter Seals Southern Georgia, is a children’s respite home for families of children who have developmental disabilities including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, down syndrome, autism, and children who are medically fragile. Children have been served from all over the state of Georgia and into Florida too. |

Mailed entries must be received by Saturday, August 28th. Register in person at Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, Sept 3rd - 5th check website for times. You may also register the day of the race, but you will not receive a chip and your results will not be posted. |

Run/Walk for Hope 5K & 1-mile 1-mile at 6:45 pm, 5K at 7:45 pm Now with online registration. This 5th annual 5K run/walk will feature a candlelight finish with 350+ candles in support of those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. The course will be a double loop on pavement totally off road inside Southern Pines Sports Complex in Dublin. Prior to the race there will be a 9/11 Commemoration at 3:00 pm and Family Fun Day from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with free hamburgers and hotdogs, splash pad park, water slide, jumpy houses, clowns, face painting, volleyball, continuous music from area bands, and much more. Race registration is $15 before Sept. 3rd and includes admission to the Family Fun Day activities. |

Events include archery, golf, cycling, swimming, ballroom dancing, tennis, racquetball, bowling, track and field and many more. The run/walk events include 100M, 200M, 800M, 1500M runs, 5K run/walk, 1/2 mile walk, and racewalking. The event typically draws competitors from other southeastern states in addition to Georgia. |
